Echo Valley Rally

This is one of the smallest rallies I attend.  It is only 35 minutes up the road from our house. I was not expecting a lot of bikers to attend (about 50 ), but I wanted to help. The promoter ask me to setup there and hold Sunday services.

I was hoping that some of the local bikers that we have been ministering to would be there, and that we would have some time to talk with them.

The best time we had was about 3:00 pm on Saturday until dark. About 100 bikers showed up, so we had a lot more people to witness to throughout the weekend. God brought us more than we expected.

Rolling Thunder Rally

The Rolling Thunder Rally is held in Washington, DC every Memorial weekend. It includes a run to the Vietnam Wall Memorial for those who have fallen and to account for all those who served who are still missing or still unaccounted for. An average of 300,000 to 500,000 bikers attend each year from all over the USA.

We setup near the Vietnam Wall each year and this was our 14th year to be there. This is one of our best rallies that we attend. We have many, many opportunities to witness to those who come.

I witnessed to Wayne from Kentucky. He told me that he needed to get back in fellowship with God. I offered to help him find a church and gave him some books about salvation.

Larry came next and was looking to find out who God is. I tried to take more time with him, but he wanted to go home with the books that I gave him and study them before talking more.

I spoke next with Thomas from Washington DC.  I went through the plan of salvation, but he did not make a decision.

Bikers took 7 1/2 cases of Bibles, tracks, and study books in that two day period. I am praising the Lord for the opportunities we had.

Please keep all the above names on your prayer list - some need to be saved or get back in fellowship with Jesus. Pray for others who have a relationship with Christ and want to grow in the Lord.

I rode back from Maryland on Thursday (600 miles), got to the house and turned off the bike. When I tried to start it two days later it would not start. I found out my crank sensor is bad and needs to be replaced.

I am telling you this, because the grace of God got me home, and then the bike broke down. What a God we serve.

Had An Emergency

I had a physical emergency May 19. I started having very strong abdominal pains and by the next morning had to go to the doctor. After many tests, they thought the appendix had to be removed, but after even more tests, they found I had a total blockage in the intestines. They told me that I need to be operated on within the hour.

By the grace of God the blockage was gone by the next morning, as they took more x-rays to see what they were going to do.

God is so good in taking care of us.
