Support Banquet (Picnic) Coming

 We wanted to do something different this year. We are having a picnic. There will be many motorcycles and possibly some airplanes to look at. We are inviting the whole family to this fund raiser. It will be
June 21, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Please contact us asap for reservations. We need to know how much food to order a week before the support banquet.

If you would like to help support the banquet, we raise $300.00 for each table to help pay for expenditures. What we don't use goes into the fund that the banquet is trying to raise.

Cherokee NC

I setup in Cherokee NC twice each year while a rally is going on in Maggie Vally which is right next door  (15miles away). Many of the bikers come to Cherokee because of the ride and in Cherokee there is a Harley Davidson shop where I setup.

This year the manager told me to setup right in front of the store next to the main door. What a blessing that turned out to be. This was one of the best times we have setup in Cherokee. We had many more bikers walk past our table which gave us more opportunities to witness. We had 30% of the tracts and study books taken.

I spoke to David who was not sure what happens to sin after salvation. I went over that with him and showed him some scriptures and we prayed together.

Dean who went with me had some opportunities as well. This was one of the best times to witness at Cherokee I have ever had.

God Encouraged Me

Thomas has been out of fellowship with God for some time now. I have talked with him about getting right with God for the last 2 years. He tells me that he needs to get right with God, but never does it.

Several weeks ago we had a visitor (biker) come to our service. He told me he was saved and wanted to check us out. He already was going to a local church and just wanted to see what we were all about. He liked what he saw and while he was there, he told me how he witnesses to a lot of Vets. I was given a big box of coins which can be used with Vets. I showed Shooter (his name) the coins and he liked them, so I gave him a big bag of them.

The following week Shooter goes into a local bar to witness by handing out the coins I gave him. He ends up giving one to Thomas. (Thomas does not know I know Shooter and Shooter does not know I know Thomas.) Thomas ends up going up to Shooter and thanks him for saving his life. Thomas explains to Shooter that he was thinking about killing himself that night and how that coin gave him the strength and faith needed to stop thinking about killing himself.

That was Saturday night, Thomas calls me up Sunday morning and tells me he wants to come to our serve but does not have the money for gas (he has no job right now). I told him I would give him the money and Thomas shows up for the service, but never tells me what happened Saturday night.

At the end of the service Shooter comes in (he had overslept) and sees Thomas and they hug each other and start crying. I am wondering what is going on. Shooter pulls me over with Thomas and tells me the story, and we all rejoiced on how God works. We serve a great God. Keep Thomas in your prayers.

Rolling Thunder Rally

God blessed with many people coming by and picking up study books, tracts and Bibles. 80% of the books and tracts were taken. I got the opportunity to witness to David and gave him a tract to study. He was open to what I said, and I pray that God will convict him and get saved. I also had an opportunity to help Gene from PA who had some marriage problems and needed help. We talked for 2 hours and prayed together. Many seeds were planted. Praise God!

1. Continue to pray for Rick & his wife. We see God working
2. That we will have many opportunities to witness and see many come to Christ
3. Pray for Dwayne who says he is saved and not living for God
4. Little Henry needs much prayer. He stop coming and does not answer his phone
