SLMM Support Banquet

We had to post-pone our Support Banquet this year because of many conflicts. Many people have been gracious enough to send money to us anyway. So we want to give you the opportunity to give towards the needs which we were going to present at the banquet. We had several people ask about this and wanted to give towards our needs. Thank You.

1. $920.00 - Bike upkeep for 2 bikes
2. $2369.00 - Rallies attending each year
3. $1200.00 - Bibles, tracts & study books
4. $5000.00 - General Fund ( day to day operations )

Cherokee Rally

God blessed in the most unusual way. No money came in for the rally by Thursday after the mail ran, and we had no money to go, so I called up our hotel and the Harley Davidson store where we setup, and canceled going up. I made up my mind that SLMM will not run on credit cards. If God does not supply the need, I do not need to go. That night around 8:30 I got a call from a friend who has never called me before, and I only see him maybe once every 3 to 5 weeks at some local biker event. He told me he had $100.00 towards the rally to help out, but I told him I had not received anything else, so I still would not be going. He told me to keep the money even if I did not go. Before he hung up the phone he starts talking to his wife. and then told me that they would give $250.00. I ask him why $250.00 (he did not know how much I needed). He told me, and I then told him I had figured up that it would take $249.72 to cover my expenses to go.  What a blessing from God!  How He works through someone you least expected.

Friday morning I got there later than normal, and I had not had time to call up the hotel or the Harley shop before leaving the house. The manager was at the hotel, and he told me he held the room anyway for me just in case I ended up coming (praise the Lord).   He gives me a very special deal there. I get my room for half price and never once asked him to do so. He did this on his own from watching me over the years, and we have become good friends. I showed up at the Harley shop and the manager was surprised, but told me that I could  still setup. The Lord blessed and several bikers showed up. One couple was from Greenville, and I had witnessed to them in the past. It was busier that I thought it would be.

Saturday it rained the whole day, and I mean rain!  It stopped for just 2 hours and started back up early evening, so I did not get to setup at all that day. A friend who is a freelance photographer to the biking world (needs salvation) called me up at 5:30 a.m. and told me he was driving up that morning to find out what was going on.  He wanted me to go to breakfast with him, and I did so. I have witnessed to Michael many times, and he has a hardened heart, but we remain friends.   I just keep telling him what God is doing in my life and the ministry.  Later that day he called again to go out for a cup of coffee.  After that I was stuck in the hotel the rest of the day.

Sunday was a beautiful day, I setup earlier than normal and did not know what to expect. Most bikers head home Sunday morning. I ended up witnessing to a biker who lives in Cherokee and got to talk with several others. Keep Richard in prayer for salvation and Michael as well.

Witnessing Opportunities

I was used of God to lead two people to Christ in September. One was a lady that lives in Ormond Beach, FL.  Beverly called me and told me that several close friends had died in the last month, and she asked me if God was using this to get her attention.  After talking with her for a while, I went through the plan of salvation, and she accepted Christ. I have sent her a package of study books and tracks to go over and study. I also found a good church for her to attend and plan on keeping up with her. I asked how she got my name and number, and she told me that my ministry card fell out of a book as she opened it, so she called. She told me that about 3 to 4 years ago she and a friend were on Main street during Bike Week and got a card and Bible from me. Is this not amazing how God works!

In the same week, I got a call from a local biker who visits our service once in a while.  I listened to what he had to say, and then told him how Christ can help him. I told him it all starts with salvation.  I had to go over the plan two different times, and he asked Christ into his heart and has been coming to church ever since. I have been disciplining him since that day.

Please keep Toni and Beverly in you prayers for spiritual growth
