Bob Jones University Missions Conference

This was my first participation in a mission conference at Bob Jones University.  I did not know what to expect since my ministry is not the norm.  However, the BJU staff went overboard for me and made me feel welcome. They even suggested not wearing a suit next time and the possibility of bringing my bike up to where we setup.

I made many contacts with the students--more than I thought possible for a bike ministry. I also had the unexpected blessing of meeting several pastors whom I went to school with as well as new pastors. Many were interested in having me speak at their churches. What a blessing that turned out to be.

The director of missions already was planning for us to come back next year. Praise God for His continual work.

Special Blessing

I had received this message Oct. 20, 2010 from Shane whom I led to Christ early in the ministry. What a blessing to not only lead someone to Christ, but to see him grow as well.

"Hi Mr Taylor, hope you and the family are doing well. This is Shane, I am using my wife's facebook page. I know I need to get my own, just wanted to let you know still living for the Lord. I am a very blessed man, I have been married for 10 yrs to my wife, Monica, and we have 3 kids Monique (9), Avery (7) and Remington (3). Monique and Avery both have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. I pray for you from time to time and I hope your ministry is going well. Tell Mrs. Taylor I said Hi, you guys are very special to me. When I give my testimony I include you guys in it for never giving up on me. I still remember it like it was yesterday kneeling beside your bed repenting of my sins and asking the Lord to save me."

Local Runs

Lots of local runs are coming up from October - December. Most of them will be toy runs. Pray that God will use us to get the Gospel out with many opportunities.

I attended the Travelers Rest Toy Run (Oct. 23) and had several opportunities to invite some bikers to our services. I met Alex and we rode together most of the day,  and I talked with him. Pray that he will show up at our services and for his salvation.

Praise God

This year has been tough and I am learning much about what it really means to trust in God each month for our finances. God has shown Himself each month in ways I could not think of.  But I realize that each month I find myself praying "I believe, but help my unbelief."  You would think that after seeing God work I would grow to the point where I would know that God will take care of us and yet each month I find myself praying that same prayer. I praise God that He never gives up on me and uses me, some one He picked from the bottom of the barrel.
